Are there any age groups? There are no age groups in our trips. Anyone over the age of 18 can sign up for our trips
Can I travel with my family, with minor children? To find out if the trip may be suitable for your family, write to us at our email
What is the status of the trip? In the list of our departures you can find the number of available seats:
- More than 6 places available
- 5
- 4
- 3
- 2
- 1
- Sold out
How many participants are needed to confirm the trip? Trips are confirmed at the time of the fourth registration. Exceptions are possible
What is the maximum number of participants in the trip? The maximum number of travelers can vary from 8 to 12. Exceptions are possible
What is the role of the travel coordinator? The coordinator is NOT a fellow traveler. He is a person who is part of the corporate staff of BHS. He/she is responsible for the group and the success of the trip. He/she manages relationships with local operators, coordinates all trip activities. Has the authority to make decisions on itinerary changes (where necessary)
How do I know who coordinates a trip? We try to give the best possible trip experience regardless of the coordinator, so we do not show travel coordinators assigned to trips in the departure list. You can find information about our tour coordinators in the “About us” section of the website

Can I contact the coordinator before departure? You will meet the coordinator when the WhatsApp group opens, no more than 10 days before departure. For all pre-departure questions you can refer to the FAQ and contact section
How can I tell if a trip involves a great deal of physical effort/intensity/adaptation/climate? On the trip page, you will find a description of the RATING. It summarizes the main points of attention that we think it would be useful to point out to you
We also tried to describe the challenges in numerical terms by defining 4 macro-areas and giving a score from 1 (not very challenging) to 5 (very challenging)
PHYSICAL COMMITMENT: indicates the difficulty and amount of physical activities planned in the travel program
TRAVEL INTENSITY: indicates the pace of travel, length of transfers and intensity of the days
SPIRIT OF ADAPTATION: indicates the possible difficulties of adaptation. Nights in tents, shared bathrooms with other rooms, limitations due to local customs and safety of the destination…
CLIMATE: indicates the impact of weather conditions on the trip and the possibility of schedule changes due to weather
When will I meet the coordinator and fellow travellers? The WhatsApp group will be created at least 7 days before departure. There you will get to know the other travellers, you will find all the information you need for the trip and you will be able to evaluate extras together with the coordinator
What will the weather be like at your destination? We recommend you check it out on AccuWeather! We find it to be the most reliable website that offers a lot of other useful information, such as average temperatures month by month, sunrise and sunset times, and more.
How do I know what I need to bring on my trip? This information will be given to you by the coordinator within the whatsapp group that will be opened before departure
How can I stay up-to-date on travel? By following us on our Facebook and Instagram pages
How do I book a trip? You can book the trip online by selecting the departure within the trip page
Will I receive a booking confirmation email? Yes, as soon as your order is placed, you will receive an automatic confirmation email, outlining all the steps following the purchase of the trip
What are the payment terms? You will pay €100 by card at the time of online registration, thereafter there is a deposit of 50% of the fee within 72 hours of registration and the balance 20 days before departure by bank transfer. However, all payment terms are contained in the automatic email you will receive when you purchase online
Will I receive a payment receipt? Yes, you will receive an email receipt of the down payment and balance payment made by wire transfer
Will there be reminders for the down payment and balance payment? Yes. An automatic reminder email will arrive for the down payment 5 days after the online purchase. If we do not receive the down payment and balance payment by the due dates, you will be contacted by email from our administration
Are international flights included? No, we do not include flights to or from destinations in our package. We don’t want to force you to depart from an inconvenient airport or end up with inefficient layovers or connections. That’s all up to you, your circumstances, and your budget. You are free to choose where to fly from, your preferred airline, and your travel dates – because who knows, maybe you’ll want to arrive a little earlier or stay a little longer.
What international flights should I purchase? The departure and end city of the trip are given on the itinerary page. Find details in the description of the first and last day of travel.
Are there any arrival or departure times I need to follow to meet with the group? Our itineraries are designed to give you the opportunity to arrive at any time on the first day of the trip and depart at any time on the last day. If there are any exceptions, you will be contacted by our team at the time of booking. If you have any concerns or questions on the subject, you can always contact us at our email bhs@bhs.travel
What kind of luggage can I bring when traveling on domestic flights? By our policy we travel only two carry-on pieces. One 55x40x25cm trolley/ 50lt backpack + 20lt backpack
BHS is exempt from any surcharge the airline intends to charge if the luggage is oversized
Why can I carry only 2 carry-on pieces? For several reasons:
- space in cars: many of our trips are by car, if everyone carries checked luggage, space management is very complex
- risk of loss: our trips are very busy and there are many aircraft to take with high risk of loss and possible problems on all the group
- travel timing: waiting for luggage and embarking on a trip would increase the waiting time for everyone
Can’t I just take checked baggage? Checked baggage for domestic flights can be requested, by sending an email to bhs@bhs.travel explaining the reasons (only documented health reasons are allowed).
What type of hotel will be on the trip? It depends on the style of travel and the specific destination. Find these details on the trip page.
How are the rooms divided? You will be in the company of other BHS travelers. For participants who do not purchase the single supplement BHS will manage accommodations in twin rooms with people of the same sex, depending on booking requirements
What does the single supplement guarantee? It guarantees accommodation in a single room just for yoursel. It does not guarantee having the bathroom in the room, which depending on the type of facilities may be shared with other trip participants. Consider, however, that some particular facilities may not have a single room option
How do I know if a trip involves rental cars? You can find this information in the “How we move” section of the trip page
Who drives the cars? The cars are driven by the coordinator and trip participants. Each car will have two designated drivers who can take turns driving. You can express your willingness to drive during the booking process
Is a credit card required for rental cars? All reservations are guaranteed by BHS cards, and are protected by full coverage insurance. However, based on rental car regulations, you will likely be required to have a credit card as collateral if you will be one of the designated drivers. In this case, any deposit charges will be immediately reimbursed by BHS
What insurance is provided? Two types of insurance are provided
- medical-baggage: included in the package
- cancellation: additional insurance with an additional cost of 6.9% of the trip
What are the terms of medical-baggage and cancellation insurance? You can find all the details in the dedicated section www.bhstraveladvisor/travel-insurance and download the information dossier
How to open a medical insurance claim? It is necessary to send mail to bhs@bhs.travel containing all the details and expenses incurred
How to activate cancellation insurance? In order to activate cancellation insurance, it is necessary to:
- to have fully paid for the trip
- send mail to bhs@bhs.travel containing a certification of the reason for cancellation
What are the reimbursement timelines? Reimbursement timelines depend on the insurance company’s settlement times
How can I cancel a trip? If you want to cancel your trip, send an email to bhs@bhs.travel including your order number in the subject line
What are the cancellation penalties? If the cancellation occurs during the period:
- before 60 days from the departure of the trip, you will be entitled to a refund of 50% of the total amount excluding the “Trip Cancellation” fee
- between 59 and 30 days before departure, you will be entitled to a refund of 25% of the total excluding the “Trip Cancellation” fee
- between 29 and 15 days before departure, you will be entitled to a refund of 10% of the total excluding the “Trip Cancellation” fee
- beyond that time, you will not be entitled to any refund
When do I need to submit my personal documents? In the automatic purchase confirmation email, you will find a link to upload your personal document, which must be THE SAME one you will travel with
When is a passport required? You will find information regarding the required documents on the travel page, but in any case we encourage you to check in official channels depending on your country of residence/citizenship
In case of a visa what is the procedure to follow? In case it is necessary to obtain a visa before departure, we will send you by email or through the WhatsApp group the directions to proceed with obtaining the visa
Who is in charge of carrying out the pre-departure visa? The visa process and payment depend on the country of destination. You can find this detail on the travel page. If necessary, we will provide you with assistance and support in obtaining your visa
