MALI
A mythical land straddling the scorching sands of the Sahara and the thriving savannah of the Sahel, Mali is one of Africa’s brightest jewels. This will be a unique journey of discovery of a country as splendid as it is fragile, where we will be accompanied by an experienced local team. From Bamako, a typical dusty and chaotic African capital, we will move on to discover the wonders of Mali, from the markets of Sikasso to the fishing villages on the Niger River, savoring the age-old traditions of the Mandingo people, and then standing open-mouthed before the spectacle of the Great Mosque of Djenné, a masterpiece of Sahelian architecture and symbol of Mali
ITINERARY and SAFETY
Given the country’s security situation, the itinerary is constructed to ensure that as many sites/locations in territories where a good standard of security can be guaranteed are visited.
Mali’s internal security situation is extremely volatile, and the list of regions considered safe can change within a very short time. Therefore, the itinerary may be subject to change in the weeks leading up to the trip and even during the trip itself, if local contacts deem it necessary

RATING
On-the-road trip with private driver, in unstable territory no longer used to tourism. Nights in hotels and tents are planned, requiring a spirit of adaptation. For safety reasons, the margin of autonomy in travel and visits is limited
